Bee population study seeking volunteers

This is a fun activity that you can do with your kids. The Great Sunflower Project is a a study that is being lead by an associate professor at San Francisco State University. It hopes to track native bee populations across the country. By planting a patch of sunflowers, or other flowering plants mentioned on the website, you count how many bees visit your garden. You do this twice a month for fifteen minutes. The website and email for more information is:
